Bravo Anton! Wonderful muscianship
Saving up to join your school. The playing is mindblowing, but Jesus, the dynamics!! Absolutely top-tier musicianship. World class level.
Do you sell individual lectures or courses?
Not anymore. Only full bundle, cause my technical approach is like a chain. If one part is off, everything else won't work the way it should. Full thing works great, but single parts are almost pointless
Correct. In a sense, Paul Gilbert cheats. He either scrapes across the strings, or in other videos, blatantly legatos some of the notes.
Question: Does Paul swipe (touch the string) for ALL strings changes…for example, descending 3 note per string from high E to low E?
Depends on how fast he plays it. In super fast tempos, mostly yes
Good job.
Comedy and skill. Bravo.
Thanks for making videos speaking about the laws of physics and mechanics of the body, while proving it through performance. Have a look at Niels Vejlyt and Glenn Proudfoot; let us know what you think about their skills and techniques.
Load is one of my favourites, too ;)
It’s strange that people never mention that these rockstars probably use cocaine or other stimulants and it gives them a huge boost in focus, endurance and speed.
Goodbye polifia😂 all people.took about.. polyfia and i say you need her this. Guy.
Nice tiddies 😂
Great video, i really like and see the points both of them make, glad to have these two to pass some knowledge unto us. I would like to ask you guys a question, its about the classical x blues position discussion: i watched Anton's video on the subject and it bugged me a little, i usually play technical stuff such as necrophagist, obscura and so on. I have to tap arpeggios very often and i find it hard to do the string huge tappping skipping arpeggio runs properly, the same with sweep/tapping arpeggios, while in blues position, when im on classical position i feel i have more accuracy, strength, stamina and reach. What you guys think?
I am a violinist and this is so much better than I could have possibly imagined it would be on any other instrument. Holy shit your clarity, musicianship, speed, and tone are just. Incredible
Pense que aldi meola era mejor con esta tecnica hasta que conoci a anton.
I use both styles, classic style allows me to reach much further as i have smaller hands and blues style gives me more control for bends and vibrato.
Wow! Just found out about your channel, in love with your videos! I have a question though, it feels very weird for me to play with the guitar 100% horizontal sitting on my right leg (im right handed), it feels way easier and natural for me to play with the guitar sitting on my left leg, slightly tilted, something like the classical position. Is there a reason for that? Like, scientific explanation? I dont twist my wrist in the same way a classical guitar player would, i usually keep it neutral.
Awesome! As someone that was allergic to good technique. I have been taking classes and now can speak to all the benefits proper technique can bring. Still so much to learn and practice.
actually there's 5 techniques, not 2. There's 1) sweep, 2) alt picking, 3) Matteo Mancuso 5 finger picking, 4) hammer-ons and 5) tapping from nowhere. :)
Your tone has basically 10% distortion but a lot of sustain (maybe that's some compression) so your notes ring clearer and less noisy in general. I think that makes it sound better if you can find that sound you like. Always amazing technique!
Difficult to disagree with anything Anton says when the reality is that no other guitar player on earth has come close to his level of alternate picking.
The reason is how the human ear perceives relative pitch. In an un-bent string the only way the amplitude of the vibrato can go is from pitch to higher pitch, then back to baseline. This means you are always returning exactly to base pitch, which allows the ear (brain) to set reference and feel like it is resolved to that base pitch. With a bent string, unless you are a robot you will never be able to oscillate such that the pitch returns exactly to the base pitch… you will always slightly overshoot downwards and it will make the note sound flat, and humans are more sensitive to flat notes than sharp. Try as an experiment to vibrato with a tremolo but always push it a bit past the neutral point, and your ear will then lose reference and hear the flat sound, which will cause you to think the tremolo is out of pitch.
Высекалово!
Been saying this for years about it, basing this in anatomy; it's complete bullshit. Refreshing to see a monster player who agrees with it from a clinical point of view.
That intro is Marvelous! and you played it with your eyes closed 😭
Wow
Funny how Justin is using the Bossa Dorado Gypsy Jazz backing track from UA-cam. He should credit the maker
You are the best picking in the world
9:19 9:20
How would you describe steve Morse alternate picking technique? I guess it is hard to play tumeni notes even with his technique(which for me seems unconfortable). Is it different of yours? Anyway amazing technique and playing of yours
22:31 Yngwie Malmsteen такие же сказки рассказывает в интервью, типа я никогда не задумывался как держать медиатор.
Didn't know elon musk had a son with Mr beast
Could Guthrie improve? Sure, but he's absolutely amazing player with great songwriting skills. I first saw you as a squirt totally owning the guitar on stage somewhere. Killer work you're doing here, keep it up Anton.
Paul Gilbert 2.0
So much musicality in your performance!
if were to learn this it would not be improvisation
Thx for this Anton, I was wondering if you had seen Justin's reaction video and what your thoughts were towards what he said!
The way you make it soud like a violent is crazy
What?
Damn, that’s gonna be hard to top by other instructors! Well done!
Bro practice 24hrs in the day😮
100% respect. Bravo!!!
That ripped so goddamn hard
The combination of the two of you is brilliant!
After watching this video, I’m curious what you think about Cesario Filho’s playing
The upstroke is brutal! Looks like pinching out of the string. I mean, moving out of the body of the guitar. What is that?
Dear Anton, thanks for the cool guitar riffs! Amazing solo! Complex, intellectual rock is how I took it. God bless you!
Gypsy jazz guitar players use something closer to a blues position too, they have a tremendously efficient technique
Fucking Awsome Song
A boring response to a boring reaction of a boring video. Why I cannot stop watching it though?
How do I get in touch with u about lessons?
